Problem Addressed

One of the challenges with holding Reform councillors to account is that their mistakes and controversies often surface piecemeal a tweet here, a news article there, or a local Facebook group post. The cycle of outrage is fast-moving, and without a central record it’s easy for campaigners, journalists, and voters to lose track of when something happened, who was involved, and what the consequences were. That makes it harder to see patterns of behaviour or to respond with evidence when Reform tries to present itself as competent and credible.

Approach & Implementation

Volunteers at Campaign Lab Hack nights built this tool to combat this problem first it collects tweets from @ReformExposed, a prominent account on X dedicated to tracking these incidents. Then it automatically builds a searchable database from their reporting, the tool preserves stories that might otherwise get lost in the churn of social media. This makes it much easier to spot recurring issues, to cross-reference incidents by location, and to give campaigners and journalists a reliable resource to challenge Reform’s narrative with documented evidence.

Useful for:

Local campaigers or representatives looking to understand reform councillors in their areas.

Journalists and Democracy advocates looking to scrutinise the activities of Reform councillors.
